1 lb ground beef, browned and drained
1 onion
2-3 garlic cloves, chopped
2 bay leaves
1 can mushrooms (optional)
1/2 green pepper, chopped
1 carrot, grated
1/2 tsp basil
1 jar spaghetti sauce
8 oz tomato sauce
Combine all ingredients except tomato sauce, simmer on low for 1-1.5 hours. Add tomato sauce at the end. Serve over pasta.
